COVID-19 INFORMATION AND RESOURCES

COVID-19 (Coronoavirus) is a respiratory illness that can spread from person to person. There are many types of human Coronaviruses, including some that commonly cause mild upper-respiratory tract illnesses. COVID-19 is a new disease, caused by a novel (or new) Coronavirus that has not previously been seen in humans. Current symptoms reported for patients with COVID-19 have included mild to severe respiratory illness with fever, cough, and difficulty breathing.

The General Election will take place on Tuesday, November 05, 2024. Voters seeking to register or update their registration (including change of political party affiliation, name, address, etc.) must do so by Monday, October 21, 2024 to be eligible for the November 5th General Election. The deadline to apply for a mail or absentee ballot is 5:00pm Tuesday, October 29th. The deadline to return mail or absentee ballots is 8:00pm Tuesday, November 5th. New and updated voter registration can be accessed online at www.pavoterservices.gov or by telephone at 1-877-868-3772.

 

The next General Membership meeting is scheduled for Sunday, September 22, 2024 at 10:00am in the Auditorium of Teamsters Local 115.

MEMBER BENEFITS

In addition to Collective Bargaining Agreements (“CBA”) Local 115 manages independent Benefit Funds which include the Health & Welfare Fund, Pension Fund, Legal Fund, and Scholarship Fund.

Members become eligible to participate in all or some of the Benefit Funds when their employer is required to make contributions to the respective Benefit Funds.

Collective bargaining enables working Americans to come together to improve their hours, wages, benefits, safety, and working conditions. Local 115 will work with members directly to develop and maintain contracts that is for the benefit of the workers – not the bosses.

Union members are more likely than non-union employees to have access to paid vacation, paid holidays, paid sick leave, retirement plans, and affordable medical, prescription, dental and vision insurance.

Safety is among the most important working conditions Local 115 works to protect and improve through collective bargaining.

A written contract – which is approved by secret-ballot vote – is a legal and enforceable agreement protecting wages, benefits, and working conditions. Without a contract, management has the right to change wages, benefits, hours, and working conditions however and whenever it wants.
